Môrelig Vineyards is situated on the foot of the Paardeberg Mountain in the Swartland region.  The vineyards comprise of dryland vines grown in decomposed granite soils.  There are a total of 6 cultivars covering 24 hectares with the oldest block planted in 1965.

The farm was purchased by the Wightman family in 2011 with their very first vintage being launched in 2015.  All of their wines are made naturally using grapes that are sustainably grown.  Their philosophy is to keep it simple and to make great wine that starts in the vineyards. Morelig are also members of The Swartland Independent Producers.
