Granted in 1715, Natte Valleij has a rich and entrenched history in the Cape Winelands. The present owners, the Milner family, bought Natte Valleij in 1969 and the old vines were pulled out and replaced with grass paddocks and for the next 27 years the farm served as a thoroughbred stud producing many classic winners.

It was in 2005, that wine was once again made on the farm. Alex Milner, the current ‘custodian’ completed his wine making studies here in Stellenbosch and set about producing unique wines of great finesse and individuality. Rather than replanting the original vineyards, he set about scouring the Cape for small parcels of exceptional fruit, of some of the more unfashionable varietals. We fell in love with his POW blend and the stunning Cinsault. We’re sure you will, too.
