Bodegas Faustino is one of the world-wide success stories of Spanish wine. At just over 150 years old, their wines can be found throughout the world in major retail outlets and private collections alike. Whilst their range and distribution is such that we wouldn’t normally market their wines, they are a producer with a solid reputation for crafting ultra-premium wines that age exceptionally well. Based in the heart of the Rioja region, their wines help define Riojan style, and indeed their older vintages offer an exciting look-back through time to styles and era’s long passed.
Bodegas Faustino wines are especially recognizable for their Burgundy-shaped bottles which are frosted to look like stone. Each label has a baroque portrait that is specific to the wine: the flagship Faustino I Gran Reserva 1964 carries the portrait of Nicolaes Van Bambeeck as painted by Rembrandt van Rijn.
