Purchased by siblings, Louis and Caroline Mitjavile, Domaine De L’Aurage is a newcomer to the Bordeaux scene, with their first vintage released in 2007.
Their father, Francois Mitjavile, is the iconic trailblazer at Terte-Roteboeuf in St Emilion and Roc des Cambes in the Côtes de Bourg.
The estate is located in the Côtes de Castillon, an appellation which borders St Emilion and benefits from the same clay-limestone soils as its esteemed neighbour.
Domaine De L’Aurage is a tremendous ambassador for the Côtes de Castillon appellation.
The talented Louis Mitjavile is both owner and winemaker, and his precise winemaking style is putting Côtes de Castillon on the map.
