Founded by Jocelyn Hogan-Wilson and her father Dunstan in 2013, Hogan wines has burst onto the local ‘Big Guns’ winemaking scene with their maiden releases to great acclaim. Jocelyn met the founder of Boekenhoutskloof as a young woman which cemented the urge to study winemaking at Stellenbosch University. Afterwards she landed a job as an assistant winemaker at under Bruce Jack at Flagstone. She went on to forge a solid career at La Bri.
Now, in her new cellar space just outside of Stellenbosch, Jocelyn is able to share ideas and learn from similar-minded winemakers who are taking an artisanal approach to winemaking. Production will always be small with a focus on making natural wines that represent the site and vintage conditions.
