Jordan has to be one of the best known and most respected producers in South Africa. Their range of wines span all price points and most styles. There hardly exists a wine market internationally that doesn’t have Jordan wines in its offerings. The estate itself is an acclaimed wine-tourism destination, boasting a premier-league restaurant, bakery and tasting centre.
The farm’s history goes back over 300 years, but came into the hands of the Jordan family back in 1982. Husband and wife team Gary and Cathy are the current custodians and themselves icons in the SA wine industry.
Situated on the slopes of the Stellenbosch Kloof, Jordan not only features stunning views, but also unique terroirs that allow for wines as alluring as the scenery.
As F&V specialize in boutique and small grower wines that are exclusive to us, we haven’t, until now, featured the wines of Jordan Wine Estate. The estate however produces a range of micro-terrior and single-vineyard wines that are simply sublime, and it is these that very much fit the F&V profile.
Over 100 years ago Alfred Jordan settled in the Cape Winelands and named the family home “Bradgate’. Today Jordan Wine Estate produces a small range of terroir specific, micro-site wines of superior quality in honour of Alfred and his pioneering dream for the Jordan family. The wines are sold only via the tasting-room, selected restaurants, and now Frogitt & Vonkel.
