Lanzerac Wine Estate is a historic landmark and Stellenbosch icon, positioned in the idyllic Jonkershoek Valley. Established in 1692, Lanzerac is the third oldest farm in Stellenbosch. The very first vineyards were planted by Isaac Schrijver who, unsurprisingly, named the farm Schoongezicht, meaning wonderful view. The farms next owner, Angus Batts Buchanan, improved the estates reputation to another level by winning several awards for his wines, sherry and brandy.
