Firmly rooted in the soils of the Robertson Wine Valley on Doornbosch Farm lies Lozarn Wines.  The farm was first bought by Kathleen May (Kay) in 1923 where she farmed ducks.  As a young adult she escaped from Germany during WW1 to settle in the city of Lucerne in Switzerland.  Several years later she bought the farm which is now run by 4thgeneration Grant Smuts.  Lozarn, the Swiss-German pronunciation of Lucerne, was chosen as the wine brand, adorned with a skeletal image of a duck on each label.

Lozarn Wines are hand-crafted by passionate winemaker, Salóme Buys-Vermeulen who’s wines are notching up medals such as Gold Michelangelo.
