Wightman & Sons is situated at the foot of the Paardeberg Mountain in the Swartland region.  The vineyards comprise of non-irrigated bush vines grown in decomposed granite soils.  There are a total of 6 cultivars covering 24 hectares with the oldest block planted in 1965.

The farm, called Môrelig was purchased by the Wightman family in 2011 as a new venture with their very first vintage being launched in 2015.  All of their wines are made with minimal intervention using grapes that are sustainably grown.

Their philosophy is to keep it simple and to make great wine that starts in the vineyards. Morelig are also members of The Swartland Independent Producers, a group of like-minded winemakers sharing the same ideology.
