Belle Rebelle Intrepid Chenin Blanc 2021
“A terroir driven Chenin Blanc with wooded elegance, a creamy character and great texture”
R266.00 per bottle (South Africa)
“The Intrepid sheep ventures into the wolf pack, ready to show it’s up for the battle. Trellis vines stand together like a flock of sheep in the beautiful Breedekloof Valley.”
The grapes were hand-harvested from vineyards planted in the Southern part of the Breedkloof Valley back in 1985.
The grapes were lightly crushed and pressed before maturing in 2nd and 3rd fill French oak barrels for 9 months.
In the glass, the wine is pale straw in colour with a bright golden tinge.
The palate is full and grippy which comes together into a crisp and long finish. White pear and quince aromas come through on the nose with undertones of nuts and honeycomb on the palate.
