Catchpole & Co. Chenin Blanc 2022

Woodward Ridge is the most comprehensive range under the Catchpole & Co label and almost entirely consists of wines commissioned to the “dream team” at Radford Dale.  Sourced from separate parcels in the Helderberg region, winemaker Jacques De Klerk has exceeded himself in making a lively and expressive Chenin totally unassisted by wood. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks and the juice was kept on the lees for 4 months.  Occasional batonnage was introduced to enhance the palate weight and texture.  This example of Chenin Blanc is wonderfully fruity and beautifully balanced.  It shows great persistence of flavour and freshness.
