Catchpole & Co. Les Dangereux Sauvignon Blanc 2021

The Les Dangereux Sauvignon Blanc is definitely a firm favourite of our clients, expressing the true terroir and excellency of the South African Winelands.  A classically styled Sauvignon Blanc with luscious fruit aromas and a balanced and elegant palate.

The 2021 was fermented in stainless steel tanks and left of its lees for seven months before bottling.  This vintage had a slower ripening period which allowed for increased flavour development.

65% of the fruit is from Botriver and the rest is from Elgin which adds extra layers of complexity.

Aromas of lemon and thyme lead to a stony and fresh palate showing bracing acidity and a flinty smokiness.   The palate is neither overly green nor tropical, with acid and alcohol perfectly in tune with the fruit.

A wine which is DANGEROUSLY easy drinking, because one bottle is simply never enough!
