The wines from Chantecler have been pleasing our customers ever since we first listed them. Merlot is notoriously tough to get right in South Africa, with our hot summers causing the grapes to produce ‘fruit bomb’ style wines. 12 months in French oak has given this wine substantial body and voluptuous berry flavours. This is a great example of what happens when someone with a passion, a small piece of land and the finance to dedicate themselves to the end result.
