Description
The grapes were hand-harvested from a selection of 40-year-old vineyards on the estate. Cahors is the perfect location for producing long-lived and complex Malbec. The wine was fermented in concrete – only indigenous yeast was used. After fermentation the wine was aged in concrete eggs to achieve a perfect balance of fruit, silky tannins and delicate spice. The wine opens up beautifully with notes of black fruits, violet and leather on the nose. A fruity structure dominates the palate, fleshy and delicious with notes of liqorice and pepper. This wine can easily age for 15 to 20 years.
