Craig Cormack SMG 2016
Farm: Craig Cormack SMG 2016
“A beautifully sophisticated blend made with grapes all the way from the Swartland region.”
The grapes are bought in from a farm by the name of Kapteinskloof, just outside of Piketberg. It is a mother block farm in the heart of the Swartland where only a few rows of each cultivar are available. These cultivars, being Shiraz, Mourvedre and Grenache Noir have done seriously well in the dry, viticulturally hotspot that is the Swartland.
50% of the grapes were crushed and the rest were kept whole during fermentation.
16 months in neutral barrels brings this wine to a very elegant finale.
This wine is only available from Frogitt & Vonkel, or should you hire Craig as a personal/private chef.
