90% Cinsault, 10% Syrah
6 hectares of very old vines of Cinsault located on sandstone soils parcels in the Châteauneuf du Pape area. Planted in the early 1960’s. All the “professionals “ told Magellan “we have to pull out this vineyard“ “you can’t do anything with Cinsault!”
They decided to think differently, persuaded that with a good terroir, great care in the vineyard and small yields, they could produce interesting wines with Cinsault. We’re glad they did!
