Description
This single malt whisky was matured in barrel which previously contained the prestigious wine, Châteauneuf du Pape. The whisky is intensly gold in the glass with initial notes of candied ginger and chocolate bitterness exuding from the glass. Allowed to breathe, the aromatic experience becomes increasingly tannic and spicy. The palate is firm and rich marked by notes black grapes – a vinious and crisp attack. Salted butter and caramel notes underlines the quality of an extremely well-integrated woodiness. Deliciously minty on the finish which gradually evolves into hints of vanilla.
