Fat Barrel The Lovechild Pinotage 2020

The Lovechild wine came about firstly, because of Bob’s love for South Africa and also because he has found a huge following in the USA for Pinotage. The fruit from the warmer Paardeberg and Bovlei areas in Paarl achieve the sugar levels required to produce a softer, elegant and fruit-driven Pinotage. The wine went through maturation for 6 months in 70% French Oak and 30% American medium-toast oak barrels. The wine was then removed from barrel and kept in stainless steel tanks until bottling.
Dried red berry fruit dominates the palate, all supported by an elegant structure and mouth-feel with soft balanced tannins.
This wine comes highly recommended. One of our all-time best-selling wines.
