A wonderful Merlot named after the Godfather of the winemaker, Attie Louw. Grown and produced at Opstal in Slanghoek. (Breedekloof Region)
Rich deep ruby colour with bold plum and black-current aromas on both the nose and palate.
The wine was aged for 12 months in 2nd, 3rd and 4th fill barrels.
A small component was stored in concrete to preserve the freshness of the wine.
Drinking beautifully now, but will age for another 6 to 10 years.
A great opportunity to taste premium wine at an affordable price.
