Description
An exemplary vintage with a low harvest of extraordinary quality grapes. The grapes were hand-harvested and fermented in temperature controlled concete vats. This blend is produced from mostly Tempranillo grapes with some Garnacha and Viura from older vines on the estate. All three varietals were matured together for 24 months in 70% American oak and 30% French oak barrels. Aromas of black fruit, black pepper and vanilla exude from the glass. A serious and austere wine that achieves beautiful harmony on the palate. A wonderfully elegant, dry juicy Rioja with well-integrated oak and round tannins.
