The Broer & Suster (Brother & Sister) Shiraz Grenache is a smart blend combining the masculine robustness and body of Shiraz with the feminine elegance and fruit-driven profile of Grenache. Cape Wine Master De Bruyn Steenkamp and his sister, Marilise created this beautiful blend celebrating siblings making wine together.
All of the grapes were hand harvested and fermented in open concrete fermenters.
The Shiraz component was matured in French oak for 12 months whilst the Grenache spent 6 months in older French oak barrels.
The wine has a dark plum core with a magenta rim. The Shiraz brings structure and spice whilst the Grenache adds elegance and bright red fruit flavours.
