Greywacke Discovery Pack
“A one of a kind collection from one of the most sought after wine makers in Marlborough.”
EACH PACK CONTAINS:
2 X Wild Sauvignon Blanc 2013
Fermented entirely with naturally occurring yeast, this is an alternative style of Sauvignon Blanc that is both intricate and textural. The palate is succulent and packed with stone fruit flavours. The fruit is sourced from various sites in the Southern Valleys. The vineyard was mostly harvested by hand. The wine spent over 6 months in French Oak barriques and a further 5 months on the lees giving the wine subtle hints of smokiness. An intriguing, creamy and textural wine with a lingering savoury finish.
2 X Chardonnay 2013
The grapes are primarily sourced from the low-yielding Medoza clone, which is known for its concentration of flavour and crisp acidity. The majority of the fruit is sourced from the lower reaches of The Bancott Valley and Fairhall. The vineyards were hand-picked separately at high ripeness levels and whole bunch pressed. The wine spent 18 months in French Oak barriques, 20% of which were New.
A long, mouth-watering finish.
2 X Pinot Noir 2013
A highly perfumed style of Marlborough Pinot Noir featuring exotic fruit sweetness and a delicate smoky scent. The wine is moderately a dark ruby-red with purple hues, whilst the palate is dense and generous with voluptuous tannin structure. All fruit is grown in Marlborough’s Southern Valleys and principally sourced from the Yarrum Vineyard situated in Brancott. The grapes were hand harvested and chilled overnight prior to hand-sorting.
The wine spent 16 months in French Oak barriques, 40% of which were New. Soft and subtle textures enhances the lavishness of this wine which carries effortlessly to a luch and exotic finish.
