This ‘best of vintage’ reserve , has once again been made exclusively for Frogitt & Vonkel. Only the best two barrels were bottled with the reserve status, and the wine is absolutely tremendous. The latest vintage has bright flavours, with great structure, and will age longer than previous years. The 2013 is also made in honour of Richard Hilton’s late father, who sadly passed away that year, and there is a poem, written by Richard, dedicated to his father inside the wooden box. Only 1542 bottles made! Small French oak barrels, 60% new, aged for 28 months.
Cellaring potential through 2028. Wooden cases. *Strongly recommend decanting into a “ships decanter” 2 hours before serving, when drinking now.

This fantastic recipe was supplied to us by Hilton Vineyards owner and winemaker Richard Hilton. It’s a twist on the classic beef bourguignon, and a recipe that Richard cooks personally when presenting his Syrah to international clients in his home.
