Land Of Hope – Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2015

This reserve is from a single vineyard, rooted in magnificent decomposed granite soils on the Helderberg mountain in Stellenbosch. These ocean-facing vines produce fruit with individual complexity and flavours. 2015 will be remembered as a classic vintage in the Cape for years to come. All of the grapes are picked by hand and placed into lug boxes for manual sorting, so that only the most perfect bunches are selected. The wine was left to mature on lees over the course of 16 months in small French Oak barrels. Minimal intervention throughout meant that the wine was able to develop its own personality, rather than commercial characteristics.
