Lozärn Carménère 2020

In 2012 winemaker, Salome was enjoying a fine Chilean Carménère and needless to say, it was love at first sip.  This led to the planting of a Carménère vineyard two years later.

This is, as far as they can ascertain – the first single vineyard of Carménère in South Africa.

Now on its 5^th vintage it is showing better than ever.  Frogitt & Vonkel have complete exclusivity on this wine with only a few bottles being exported to Denmark.

The wine spent a total of 12 months in new French oak barrels giving it a beautiful deep purple colour and mocha aftertaste.

Still young for a Carménère, but already drinking superbly.
