Lozärn Wines Carménère 2019

In 2012 winemaker, Salome was enjoying a fine Chilean Carmenere and needless to say, it was love at first sip.  This led to the planting of a Carmenere vineyard two years later.

This is, as far as they can ascertain – the first single vineyard of Carmenere in South Africa.

The wine spent a total of 13 months in French oak barrels giving it a beautiful deep purple colour and mocha aftertaste.

Still young for a Carmenere, but already drinking superbly.
