Dedicated to Sebastian Smuts who was the husband of the Lucerne founder and farmer, Kathleen May.
A true gem of the Robertson Wine Valley harvested from a mature Chardonnay block located on the Doornbosch farm.
The wine was fermented for 8 days in tank and matured for 9 months in French oak barrels on the fine lees. (combination of new and old barrels)
The wine is fresh with abundant citrus notes on the nose and perfect acidity. The time spent in oak has given this Chardonnay beautiful depth and body.
