Lozärn Wines Merlot 2021

A tiny parcel of Merlot was harvested in 2021 on the Doornbosch farm in Bonnievale.
It has been a dream of Salome’s to release a single Merlot from the moment she saw the red clay soils on the farm.
The block was left to reach perfect maturity which resulted in incredible quality of fruit. Once harvested, the wine was matured in French oak barrels for 15 months.
This Merlot is bold and structured with notes of dark berries, black coffee and some herbaceous characteristics.
Medium to full-bodied with chalky tannins and a vibrant fruit profile.
A mineral savoury finish with a youthful aftertaste.
