Metzer Family Shiraz 2016

We are privileged to have received a small amount of this 100% Syrah, made from a very unique, single-vineyard in the Helderberg. The site was chosen for its unusual feature of three different soil types, all within a single block. The assemblage of specific soil types adds to the richness of the wine, giving a layered complexity. The vineyards are farmed according to organic principles, and minimalist wine-making techniques are employed to retain as much terroir and fruit character as possible. Handmade, unfined and unfiltered; this is a silky smooth, rich and sumptuous wine that is exquisitely balanced. Extremely limited!
