100% Cinsault from a 58 year old single vineyard planted on the foothills of the Helderberg west peak back in 1964.
The Cinsault was aged as naturally as possible without intervention. The wine was fermented for 14 days then transferred to French oak barrels where it was seasoned for 9 months.
The palate is firm and concentrated with delicate flavours of ripe cherries and peppery spice.
An extremely versatile food wine that compliments everything.
Delivers immediate drinking pleasure, but will gain complexity with further cellaring.
