“This wine tells the story of Clous Voigts – the legend, the thief! It’s smoky tobacco and earthy tones set the scene of one man’s betrayel and deceit.” When Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon meet, the result is sublime. This blend is the perfect balance between the fragrant, smoky spice of Shiraz and the dark berried opulence of the Cabernet Sauvignon. Together these varietals make a blend that shows great drinkability. The grapes were sourced from various vineyards around the Western Cape. The grapes were gently handled during the fermentation process, to preserve fruit, retain juiciness and limit farsh tannin extraction. Oak maturation was kept to a minimum – only lightly toasted French oak staves were used for 6 months.
50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Shiraz.
