Pearl Mountain Witkaree Chenin Blanc 2017

A wooded Chenin Blanc beautifully light straw in colour, harvested from the Paarl region.

The juice was left on the skins for an hour and then transferred to 30% new and 70% second fill French oak barrels.  Spontaneous fermentation was conducted in barrel and the wine was aged for an additional 9 months before bottling.

Fresh aromas of green apples and delicate toasted vanilla notes are evident on the nose.

Overall, a well-balanced dry wine with crisp acidity complimented by a long, lingering light oaky finish.
