Many wines have been called Chianti as they are form the ‘larger Tuscan area’ however this is a Chianti Classico as it is from the original Chianti heartland, sporting the sign of the ‘Black Rooster/Gallo Nero’ to show that it REALLY is from this terroir.
Hand-harvested and manually berry selection ensures only the finest fruit reaches the presses. The wine is given 12 months’ barrel aging in a unique blend of French and Slovakian oak, before a final minimum of 8 months’ bottle aging before release. 100% Sangiovese.
