A stage upwards from the ‘Enseignières’, this Premier Cru Burgundy hails from the famous “Champs Gains” vineyard, a slightly more elevated vineyard within Puligny Montrachet. Sloping and gravelly, the pale limestone soils are perfect for reflecting sunlight and draining of the vine’s roots. The result is a wine of heightened complexity, depth and character. As you’d expect from a top Premier Cru of Puligny-Montrachet. This site is perfect for world-renowned Chardonnay, and this example does not disappoint.
