Radford Dale The Crux Chardonnay 2016

An exquisite Chardonnay that comprises carefully selected grapes from very different, but equally extraordinary sites. Single vineyard, ocean facing, the Polkedraai hills and the granite soils in the Helderberg. 60% of the fruit is from the Helderberg Region which is also the younger vineyard of the two that brings a more aromatic dimension to the wine and is fermented in stainless steel tanks. The remainder of fruit coming from the very well established Polkadraai Hills was put into French oak barrels and adds a wonderful sense of structure and balance resulting in a concentrated and complex wine.
