Description
The grapes were hand-picked and hand-sorted to ensure absolute quality before pressing. Once the grapes were whole bunch pressed the free-run juice settled for 2 days before being gravity-fed into barrel. The wine was matured in older French oak barrels for 9 months. Very little new oak was used so that the elegance of the wine could be retained. Pale gold in colour with a vibrant green tinge. Fresh brioche notes come through on the nose with a touch of lemon spice. Radford Dale have produced an extraordinary wine which shows the finesse that good Chardonnay should, as well as aromatic attributes which make it true to its origin. The finish is taut and crisp leaving one with a clean, mineral lift.
