This is the only Cabernet Franc in South Africa that comes from a single clone (No. 312)
All the grapes were selected by hand from a single vineyard high on the slopes of the Jonkershoek Mountain. For those who enjoy the finer things in life this is definitely ready to drink now, however will develop beautifully within 5 to 8 years. Deep ruby in colour and a palate with savoury complexity, there is no truer representation of a more authentic Cabernet Franc. The wine is bottled without filtering or fining, therefore natural deposits may be found in the bottle. The wine spent 12 months in French oak of which 50% was new wood, 25% was 2nd fill and 25% was 3rd fill.
