Now 10 years old, this vintage is drinking at its peak.
Once harvested, the fruit was fermented in open tank fermenters and kept on the skins for an additional two weeks post fermentation.
The wine was matured for 12 months in a combination of new, 2nd and 3rd fill French oak barrels.
A full-bodied Merlot bursting with layers of red fruits and complex tertiary notes on the palate.
The winemakers at Saxenburg have paid unbridled care and attention in the aging and storing of this wine in idyllic conditions.
