Situated in picturesque Paarl, on 65ha, Ridgeback Wines began its journey with a maiden release in 2000.  Since then the farm has gone on to win 5 Star Platter ratings five times, along with numerous accolades and Platinum medals.

The Zimbabwean founders named the estate on the Paarl Mountains north slopes after the Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs that live on the farm, along with the joint Zimbabwean/Rhodesian heritage.

Toit Wessels is the winemaker and viticulturist and practices clinical viticulture through a love of soil and respectful manipulation of the vineyards.
