Domaine de Viaud
Domaine De Viaud is small producer discovered on a trip to Bordeaux by Alex Dale, founder of The Winery of Good Hope. Pomerol is located in Bordeaux, home to Château Le Pin (produces one of the most expenisive wines in the world.) Domaine De Viaud is located just north of Pomerol in a smaller designated area known as Lalande De Pomerol. The estate is family-owned and run, with the owner personally doing everything by hand from tending the vines through to vinification. The wines produced are made in the centuries old tradition by a farming family in the humbled manner, but the location and the wines are second to none and offer rare value for money. Domaine De Viaud keeps up to 50 vintages in its cellar at any given time and only sell their wines to people they like.
