Description
Harvested from old Merlot and Petit Verdot blocks to enhance complexity, with a young Malbec block adding vibrancy. All vineyards are situated on the northern slopes of the foothills of the Sidouws Mountains.
The farming approach follows regenerative principles, with cattle used for natural weed control in the vineyards.
All three varietals were co-fermented, with the blend varying from year to year to reflect the vintage. Grapes were hand-harvested in the early morning to preserve freshness.
Each component was picked at a different stage of ripeness: Merlot at optimal maturity, Petit Verdot slightly green, and Malbec overripe—coming together to achieve balance and depth. Fermentation was done using whole berries, followed by maturation in older oak barrels for 18 months.
