Description
In 2012 winemaker, Salome was enjoying a fine Chilean Carménère and needless to say, it was love at first sip. This led to the planting of a Carménère vineyard two years later. Lozärn was the first cellar in South Africa to release a single Carménère back in 2017. This unique wine is dedicated to Ivan Sedgwick, who was the only son of Kathleen and Sebastian Smuts. The wine spent a total of 11 months in 1st, 2nd and 3rd fill French oak barrels. Only free run juice was used, no extra pressings were implemented. A wine to savour and enjoy with good company.
