Rosendal Winery August Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Description

100% Cabernet Sauvignon harvested from Paarl and Elgin. The combination of the two sites create a wine that is harmonious and complex.
The grapes were hand-sorted and spent 10 days on the skins before pressing. The blocks were matured separately in French oak for 18 months before blending and bottling. The tannins are robust with integrated wood spices and ample texture. Blackcurrant and cocao notes exude from the glass. Juicy plum flavours develop seamlessly on the palate. Overall this wine is opulent yet still fresh with layers of depth and complexity. Pairs well with high fat foods and umami flavours.
