Description
This medium to full bodied Merlot shows a dense crimson core framed by a bright ruby rim. Fermented in stainless steel and open-top fermenters for seven days, and matured for 18 months in a mix of new and seasoned French oak barrels. The wine offers an expressive nose of black cherry, bay leaf and subtle graphite. The palate is vibrant and fruit-driven, with lively red berries layered over gentle vanilla spice.
Firm, well-integrated tannins provide structure and promise excellence age-worthiness, leading to a refined, persistent finish.
