Bordering Italy and Slovenia, the Movia winery is located in the heart of the Gorizia hills. Purchased in 1820, the winery boasts a winegrowing history of over 300 years.
The estate is completely organically and biodynamically farmed.
Gredič is a white wine made from the Friulano grape. It is delicious in its youthful expression.
This wine benefits from a long maceration period and is matured in Slovenian oak barrels for two years.
The wine is bottled in accordance with the lunar calendar.
Fresh and aromatically expressive with notes of peach, almond and wildflowers.
The palate is round and mineral, and subtly elegant with a bold mouthfeel.
Well balanced by excellent acidity and a clean, crisp finish.
Unfiltered and unfined.
WEINGUT WENINGER BLAUFRÄNKISCH 2018
The Weingut Weninger estate is located in Horitschon, a small village near the Hungarian border, in Austria.
It is a family business that has been passed down from father to son since the 1950’s.
All vineyards are cultivated biodynamically.
Blaufränkisch is a red grape variety which produces crisp, juicy and fruity wines.
The grapes are harvested from 30 different plots with vines aging from 5 to 35 years.
The wine goes through spontaneous fermentation and maceration for 3 weeks in oak barrels, then is matured on the fine lees for 18 months.
The nose is lively and expressive with notes of black cherry, blackberry and white pepper.
The palate is full, with a dense weave of well-integrated tannins.
The finish is slightly spicy with lingering leather and herbal characteristics.
