Description
All of the grapes were harvested from the Winshaw farm located in Stellenbosch. The grapes were hand-harvested and naturally fermented in open top fermenters. Each varietal was fermented and aged separately. The wine spent a total of 12 months in French oak barrels. The palate displays a combination of black and red fruits with a dry grippy finish. A full- bodied wine with refined tannins and a rich ruby appearance. This wine is a Cape Bordeaux- style blend inspired by right bank Bordeaux characteristics, where Merlot forms the dominant varietal. Drinking superbly now but can age for another 15 years.
58% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Malbec
