Description
Now 8 years old, this vintage is drinking beautifully but will gain further complexity over the next 20 years. The fruit was hand-picked and selected from 3 different blocks. Once harvested the fruit was fermented in open top fermenters and removed from the skins 3 weeks after fermentation. The wine was matured for 24 months in predominantly French oak barrels. This limited release is an incredible expression of Syrah. The nose is impressive showcasing cranberry, cherry, black pepper and a hint of cinnamon. The palate is beautifully structured, yet seamless and full of dimension.
