Description
This wine displays an aromatic and floral profile, offering lifted notes that lead into a full- bodied palate. A delicate balance of spicy acidity and layered richness creates both elegance and depth. Made from Hárslevelű, a rare Hungarian grape variety whose name translates
to “lime leaf”, the wine reflects both freshness and complexity.
Only 75 hectares of Hárslevelű are planted in South Africa, all located in
the Swartland region, underscoring the wine’s exclusivity. The grapes were handpicked in the early morning at optimal ripeness to preserve freshness. Whole bunches were gently pressed, allowing only free-run juice to be extracted, before being transferred to stainless steel tanks for initial fermentation. The wine then underwent barrel fermentation for 7 months in French oak, adding texture, depth, and subtle spice to the final expression.
