Description
Crafted from a single block of old bush vine Chenin Blanc on the slopes of the Helderberg
Mountain in Stellenbosch, this wine is a true expression of the site. The low-yielding vines produce small berries and compact bunches, resulting in remarkable fruit concentration and intensity.
The grapes were whole-bunch pressed, and fermentation took place entirely in old oak barrels to preserve purity while adding subtle texture. The wine remained on its primary lees throughout maturation and was racked from barrel after 9 months, enhancing complexity and mouthfeel without compromising freshness.
This is a wine that reflects its origin through freshness, elegance, finesse and purity. Driven by a vibrant citrus fruit spectrum and lifted by a distinctive, refreshing saltiness, the wine offers precision, balance and lingering energy.
Suitable for vegans.
