Nelson’s Wine Estate

In pursuit of a childhood dream, ‘legal-eagle’ Alan Nelson acquired the farm in 1987 and set about the daunting task of restoring it to its former glory. The Estate was crowned “Champion Wine Estate” and “Private Producer in the Boland Region” in 1996. Since then the Estate has gone from strength to strength and at the end of 2007, Alan appointed his eldest daughter, Lisa Nelson as the resident winemaker. She has won numerous awards for her wines, including the SA Reserve Champion Wine in 2008 (a fantastic Cab Franc) amongst others.
